Memo moved to Vail for the job, and it’s Mountain Standard’s good luck that he did. His brother already lived in the Valley and invited Memo and his family to join him. Memo, a dental surgeon in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico, was up for an adventure so he packed up his family, moved to the mountains of Colorado, and began his restaurant career. He started at Mountain Standard as a dishwasher and quickly became a member of the prep team. His hard work, dedication, and skills made him the perfect candidate for kitchen manager when the job became available. Memo loves everything about living in Vail, “This place is amazing!” He enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, and hearing the phrase, “You’re not bad for a Mexican!” when playing fantasy football.
